The Chair of Flight Guidance and Air Transport at the Technical University of Berlin has a large number of coupled real-time simulation environments. These enable a realistic development and evaluation of systems and procedures. For internal research purposes, third-party funded projects and academic teaching purposes, it is possible to combine individual flight simulators in a virtual airspace and thus simulate complex, realistic situations. All simulators are integrated into a network within which, for example, the position data and the voice radio are transmitted. The simulation data of individual modules (clients) are processed centrally using flight simulation server software. In addition to the simulation data processing, the software is also capable of processing weather data and to make the flight plans of the simulation participants available to the air traffic controller for further processing.
