Light Aircraft for Science, Education and Research (LASER)

The LASER (Light Aircraft for Science, Education and Research) is a Peregrine FA01 Ultralight Aircraft. It belongs to the Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (TU Berlin) since January 2019. Plans to purchase the aircraft, were realised in 2017 as part of TU Berlins internal research funding. After almost four decades without an own aircraft, LASER will now improve the academical teaching of the institute. The main focus, however, will be on research projects, where LASER serves as a universal test carrier for the Chair of Aircraft Design and Aerostructure and to the Chair of Flight Guidance and Air Transport.
