The purpose of the current project is to conduct a series of simulations using different aircraft flight simulators (Airbus, Boeing and other regional aircraft), extending the scope of previous simulations conducted in SESAR WP9.9 and WP6.8.8. The application of the RF function is expanded to all altitudes in the extended TMA so that curved operations can be implemented anywhere in the arrival and approach phase (and not only in the transition to final approach).

"Augmented Reality Technology for Cockpit Operations” enables the integration of AR-Technology in an established flight deck concept via modern Smart Glasses (e.g. Epson BT-200). Applied research will determine the feasibility of augmented reality concepts during normal and abnormal flight operations, using AR smart glasses to build prototypes.

The internal research project "Ecoefficient Procedures for Air Traffic (EcoPAT") investigates new assessment methods for departure, approach and landing procedures by applying multiple ecoefficient criteria (noise emission, pollutant emission, fuel consumption etc.)
