The Chair of Flight Guidance and Air Transport focuses in research and education on innovative avionic systems for modern aircrafts, future air traffic management and operational aspects of modern flight guidance. Thereby, a collaborative approach in research and education allows the examination of current scientific issues from a legal, technical, economical and eco-efficient point of view. With regard to other aviation disciplines the chair acts as an integrator, by investigating vital on-board elements (Flight Operation, Avionics, Human-Machine-Interface) and ground-located infrastructure and facilities (ATC, Airports, Airlines).
